BIM In Practice Seminars Off to A Flying Start!
25 June 2018
Last week saw the first seminar of the re-booted “BIM Awareness” events delivered by the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, hosted by our Director Colin Hastie. We are proud to have been appointed as BIM Technical Consultant to the CSIC, and look forward to developing a series of BIM training events over the next 18 months.
The “awareness” seminar focuses on the basics of BIM, we look at the standards and guidance, government requirements, explain the acronyms and jargon, and look at how BIM works on a real project.
95% of attendees at our first seminar, held at the CSIC Innovation Factory last week, rated the content and presenter as excellent. Some feedback comments included –
“Very good initial introduction to BIM from a very well-informed presenter.”
“Pitched at just the right level.”
“Great seminar. I thought the info was spot on and provided good resources for learning more. Well presented.”
“Well positioned seminar for beginner information.”
Further seminars are being prepared in partnership with the BRE to focus on “implementation” of BIM in Practice, the first of these will be rolled out later this year. All of the seminars are also being prepared in an online e-learning format, which can be watched from anywhere at any time, ensuring the knowledge can get out to as many people and businesses as possible.
